Reiki
Reiki is a gentle yet profoundly powerful energy healing practice that promotes deep relaxation, balance, and overall wellbeing. Rooted in the Japanese words Rei (universal) and Ki (life force energy), Reiki works by channelling this vital energy to support the body’s natural healing processes—restoring harmony on all levels: body, mind, and spirit.

As a Reiki practitioner, I have received energetic attunements that allow me to access and work with this life force energy at a subtle yet potent frequency. During a session, I place my hands gently on or just above the body to help clear energetic blockages and restore healthy flow. Reiki is often experienced as warmth, tingling, or deep stillness, with many people entering a meditative or dreamlike state. It can support emotional release, physical ease, and a renewed sense of clarity and connection.

While Reiki may not yet have a strong scientific evidence base—largely because its effects are deeply personal and difficult to quantify—I can’t deny what I’ve felt and witnessed. For a long time, I hesitated to offer Reiki publicly, unsure how it might be received. But the truth is: I feel the energy. I trust it. And I’ve seen how it has supported others, including participants, colleagues, and members of the wider Reiki community.

So, I've chosen to step out of the spiritual closet—again—and offer Reiki with conviction, humility, and an open heart. Whether you're seeking grounding, healing, clarity, or calm, Reiki can meet you where you are and gently guide you back to yourself.

Reiki Jin Kei Do
The particular lineage of Reiki I practise is Reiki Jin Kei Do, which translates to The Way of Compassion and Wisdom. Sometimes referred to as the Eastern Lineage, it offers a deeper, more meditative path of Reiki that integrates ancient spiritual practices with energy healing. This lineage emerged through the dedication of former lineage bearer Seiji Takamori, who sought to trace Reiki back to its roots to uncover the contemplative practices that originally informed it.

Reiki Jin Kei Do emphasises not only hands-on healing, but also the personal cultivation of compassion, presence, and inner wisdom through meditation and mindfulness. It encourages a heart-centred approach that supports both practitioner and recipient to connect with the subtle realms of healing and awareness.

This lineage resonates deeply with my own values and practice, especially the integration of meditative disciplines, and internal focus. It became my gateway to meditiation and it also informs how I guide others in connecting to stillness, sensation, and intuition—whether through mindfulness practices, creative processes, or nature-based experiences. The path of Reiki Jin Kei Do continues to enrich my personal and professional life, offering not just a healing modality, but a spiritual philosophy grounded in kindness, attentiveness, and reverence for life.
